Olivia Newton-John's cancer diagnosis, which I had heard about but for some reason never put on a guessing game post, is the main story this week. I did better with the sidebar stories, including Mary Kay Letourneau (this week,) Ariana Grande (last week) and Ben & Lauren's break-up (three weeks ago.) I'm surprised there's nothing about Tiger Woods. George Clooney's wife gave birth to twins yesterday, which is currently my best guess for next week's main story.
I actually have a small, six-degrees-of-separation connection to Olivia Newton-John. Her first husband, Matt Lattanzi, is from Portland, Oregon and one of my cousins knew him from dancing classes back in the day. It was a big, big deal when Matt married Olivia in 1984.
