And The Oscar Goes To...

... Matthew, Cate, Jared and Lupita, if I believe what I've read and heard. In fact, there's apparently almost no suspense this year, at least in the acting categories. A prognosticator this morning said there's "no way" Jared Leto doesn't win. Really? It almost makes you wonder why they even bothered to have everyone vote. As always, I'm hoping for a big upset. An Oscar win for Barkhad Abdi, Christian Bale, Amy Adams and/or Sally Hawkins, or any of the other non-shoo-ins, would shake up a predictable event and make it lots more entertaining. 

And Academy? One more thing: Please get rid of the annual tribute to dead people. It's excruciating.
