Tuesday morning update: Ivanka Trump has a new book coming out today, which, if her father wasn't president, might land her a People cover. Will People go there with her father in the White House? Maybe, but if they do, I would expect some serious conflict-of-interest pushback. In the meantime, there are a couple of Ivanka stories at people.com; you can read them here and here.
Scott Hamilton, who has a new cancer diagnosis, and Jimmy Kimmel, who's talking about his son's open-heart surgery, are also possibilities.
Original post:
What will be on the cover of People magazine this week? I don't see a lot of obvious possibilities. The coverage of ex-Bach Chris Soules has quieted down and I'm not sure People would go with two Bachelor/ette covers in a row, although Chris could very well be a sidebar story. The magazine frequently features royal birthdays so Princess Charlotte's 2nd birthday, which is tomorrow, could be the main story, possibly tied to her role as a bridesmaid for Pippa Middleton's wedding on May 20. The Fyre festival, Ryan Seacrest, Bette Midler and Shannen Doherty round out my guesses.
Chris Soules: Under arrest for leaving the scene of a fatal accident
Princess Charlotte: Turning two
The Fyre festival disaster: How did this happen?
Ryan Seacrest: Kelly Ripa's new co-host
Bette Midler: Starring in a Hello, Dolly revival on Broadway, nominated for a Tony award
Shannen Doherty: Her cancer is in remission
