It's a strange cover story this week. The headline, "Ready to Wed!," sounds good, but if you click on the link, above, you'll land on a story that doesn't make sense. (Maybe it's more accurate to say that the story is underwritten, and/or as frequently happens at People.com, not effectively edited.) It turns out Shelton and Stefani aren't really ready to wed!, because she's a practicing Catholic who wants a church wedding, and as a divorcée she's not allowed to have one. The article goes on to say that they're very serious about the relationship and definitely heading towards marriage, but doesn't mention anything, such as an attempt to get an annulment, that might solve the problem. It just leaves the issue hanging. The article is also a "write-around," which means that the magazine didn't actually interview the couple. All the information is attributed to sources and friends.
