It's Tyler Perry this week, a cover story tied to the opening of the Tyler Perry Studio in Atlanta, which happens Saturday. He also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday. I had Justin & Hailey, and Meghan & Harry, on the Guessing Game list. (Read it here.)
And by-the-way, how does a star get a star on the Walk of Fame? It doesn't just show up out of nowhere. The star has to apply, then promise to show up for the ceremony with a bunch of his or her famous friends. They also have to pay $40,000. Really. You can read more here. And just as the Miss America pageant started as a way to bring off-season tourists to Atlantic City, the Walk of Fame was started by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to bring more visitors to Hollywood.
