... would you be 1) charmed, or 2) annoyed, if the president tweeted out a picture in which your face has been replaced by the face of a dog:
AMERICAN HERO! pic.twitter.com/XCCa2sGfsZ— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 30, 2019
A couple of thoughts. Obviously, Donald didn't do the photoshop himself. I briefly wondered if he didn't realize it's a meme, but presumably even Donald would be aware that he hasn't actually pinned a Medal of Honor, with the actual medal replaced by a paw print, no less, around the neck of a Belgian Malinois.
I also get that this is the hero dog from the al-Baghdadi raid in Syria Saturday night, and Donald is trying to honor him, but it still strikes me as not quite right.

Update. The New York Times weighs in and apparently Mr. McCloughan doesn't mind:
The photo President Trump shared seemed to be an altered version of a 2017 photo of James McCloughan receiving a Medal of Honor. McCloughan told The New York Times that he felt President Trump was recognizing the dog’s heroism: “They are very courageous." https://t.co/XUWwq0b9Ie— The New York Times (@nytimes) October 30, 2019
Update #2. More about his beautiful dog:
“This dog is a four-year veteran of the @USSOCOM K-9 program and has been a member of approximately 50 combat missions.” - @CENTCOM Commander Gen. Frank McKenzie Jr. pic.twitter.com/ushD1G5X01— Department of Defense 🇺🇸 (@DeptofDefense) October 31, 2019
