In The 2000s, And It Was Horrible

How important is it for a president to be articulate? To know what he or she is talking about? To be able to express his or her thoughts in a coherent way? Jeb! keeps giving us reasons to ponder those questions. In his defense, his brother wasn't the most articulate guy either and he managed to get elected twice, so maybe Jeb! figures it's not that important. The difference is that 43 ran and was elected in the days before cell phone videos, YouTube and Twitter. In those olden days candidates could say something less than brilliant and it might be shown on the evening news or the Sunday talk shows, but it wouldn't go live on YouTube for the whole world to watch, think and blog about.

Jeb! doesn't have that luxury. Once again he's put his (silver) foot in his mouth and it's right there on YouTube:

Presidential? You decide.
