This Day In History, 1966: Star Trek

It all started on this day back in 1966:

The original Star Trek only lasted three seasons, but William Shatner was back in 1975, starring in a show titled Barbary Coast, which also had its premiere on September 8. According to IMDB.com, it only lasted 14 episodes.
